More about:

More gorgeousness from The Magic Gang this afternoon - another slice of forthcoming second album Death Of The Party. '(The World) Outside My Door' is the most pensive single to be taken from the album to date.

A final teaser of the new LP, this new cut is just as strong as its Northern Soul predecessors, but meditative rather than guaranteed to get you up and dancing. Light and breezy then increasingly sinister, it's a very smart piece of songwriting that touches on some of the day's most pressing issues.

"First thing in the morning, I'm gonna make a change" Jack Kaye sings from the bedroom he appears to have spent lockdown:

On the song and its connection to quarantine, Kaye said: “I had this real sense that everybody around me was taking part in history while I was holed up in my bedroom trying to write an album. It’s quite a guilt-laden song about feeling that you should be doing more.”

The track follows 'Make Time For Change', 'Take Back The Track', 'Believe In Yourself (The Arthur Theme Song)', 'What Have You Got To Lose' and 'Think' as part of the forthcoming Death of the Party album.
