More about: The Smashing Pumpkins
The Smashing Pumpkins are back after two years with a duo of new singles: 'Cyr' and 'The Colour Of Love' announce a new studio album. Currently consisting of founding members Billy Corgan, James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin, it's only D'Arcy Wretzky absent from the original line-up.

Gothic as ever but synth-tastic and pop-facing, both of the new tracks are shiny monoliths that foretell a bold forthcoming record. Corgan gets his usual frustrations out on chrome electronics on 'Cyr' then on racing drums on 'The Colour Of Love'. On both, an echoing female backing vocal add to the drama.
Listen:
“Cyr is dystopic folly,” Corgan noted, "To me it stands as both hopeful and dismissive of what is and isn't possible with faith.”
The songs follow 2018's "strong, short and sweet" but awkwardly-titled Shiny and Oh So Bright, Vol. 1/LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun.
