'Drones' is a convincing release from a young band

They've only two singles to their name and yet Dublin foursome Sprints are already making waves. They turn things up another notch today with the release of 'Drones'. It announces their debut EP Manifesto.

Anxious and industrial, 'Drones' is a crescendo of sound: amps blaring and fingers bleeding. It's a glorious anxiety attack made to pound at the eardrums.

Karla Chubb's howling refrain is a compelling turn for a new vocalist: her delivery is what makes Sprints such a convincing proposition. It would be easy to imagine this band supporting Fontaines D.C. on tour.

With support from Girl Band's Daniel Fox and an EP on the way, Sprints are just getting started. 'Drones' is the lead single from their forthcoming four-track release, out on Nice Swan next month.

“Drones is very literally about my struggles with imposter syndrome. I think being a female in music, I struggle a lot with feeling like I have something to prove. It’s not okay for me to just be good, I have to be great" Chubb said of the new cut.

Manifesto EP Tracklist:

1. Manifesto
2. Drones
3. Swimming
4. Ashley

Manifesto arrives next month via Nice Swan Records.
