Ivor Novello winner Mysie has shared a new song today: the ethereal 'Patterns' and sophisticated adjoining visuals directed by Louis Mackay. The new cut underlines a breakout year for the singer-songwriter.

Cathedral-like vocals and swelling synths push the chorus up above the lilting richness of the verses, giving this track an undulating rise and fall that adds to the almost religious catharsis that 'Patterns' gives off.

Listen:

Mysie explained: “This song is about recognising the patterns within myself, and within my relationships. It’s about me acknowledging them and
searching for freedom from them, making a conscious decision to break these habits and instead strive for growth and progress”.

This is the third release from Mysie this year, following 'Gift' and August's 'Bones', which we called blissfully inventive. Also in August, Mysie joined us and The Close Encounter Club Live In Orbit with Porridge Radio for a special livestream. See it here
