More about:

Shame are back with news of a new album. Drunk Tank Pink will be the South London band's second long-play, arriving January 2021, three years after their acclaimed debut Songs of Praise.

Drunk Tank Pink will feature recently-released comeback track 'Alphabet' as well as lead single 'Water in the Well', which arrived last night with a collaged video with cool splicing work by Pedro Takahashi.

'Water in the Well' shows of Shame's new developed sound. Less maudlin than their debut, this cut shows a brighter, indier path forwards for the group.

Most of Drunk Tank Pink was written in a small out-house painted calming pink and nicknamed 'The Womb' as frontman Charlie Steen tried to write his way out of post-tour psychosis.

"The common theme when I was catching up with my mates was this identity crisis everyone was having,” reflects Steen. “No one knows what the fuck is going on.”

Drunk Tank Pink Tracklist:

1. Alphabet
2. Nigel Hitter
3. Born in Luton
4. March Day
5. Water in the Well
6. Snow Day
7. Human, for a Minute
8. Great Dog
