Florence Welch has covered 'Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas' for a virtual concert that took place last night (15 December). Introduced by Nile Rodgers, she was one of several stars to take part in the carol service.

Her version is, as you might imagine, simply beautiful. Quite different from the knowing covers we're used to hearing, Florence interprets the classic in a delicate, mournful cadence.

Tony Bennett, Neil Young, Sir Cliff Richard, Sir Rod Stewart and Robbie Williams were among the other stars who sang in the concert, which was hosted by and for Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy. So far, the stream has raised £300,000 for the cause, which has lost money during the pandemic.
