Glastonbury Festival has announced that its 2021 edition will not take place this year - it is the second consecutive year that the event will not take place due to Coronavirus.

In a statement posted to social media this lunchtime, the festival wrote that "in spite of our efforts to move Heaven & Earth, it has become clear that we simply will not be able to make the Festival happen this year."

Michael and Emily Eavis have confirmed that those who secured tickets for Glastonbury 2020 will be able to rollover their purchase to 2022, when Glastonbury will resume again.
