If you're looking for a place to vent your anger after today's UK government report that institutional racism just...doesn't exist, then look no further than Black Lives in Music, a new report hoping to uncover - and address - issues of racism in the music industry.

You can take the survey here if you're a Black musician and/or music creator so that BLiM can move forwards with their central tenets:

  • Be a catalyst for meaningful change and meaningful action towards a genuine diverse community within music.
  • Provide meaningful opportunities at grassroots level for Black musicians to aspire to be part of the wider talent pool
  • Support and empower Black artists to realise their ambitions
  • Advocate for equality for the careers of musicians and the music industry workforce

“We are bringing together all Black musicians and music professionals for this research in order to create change," BliM co-founder Charisse Beaumont said.
