Gigwise.com first launched in 2001 when Andy Day approached Simon Perlaki and the pair started meeting unsigned bands and seeing shows every night of the week in Liverpool...

Twenty years later, it's been many things: a tabloid, a news breaker, a place to discover. It even rivalled NME. What Gigwise has always been though, is a place to discover new music and find out more about the old. In 2021, we celebrate 20 huge years with the publication's first ever print magazine.

Dropping everywhere on Record Store Day (17th July), the inaugural Gigwise magazine will feature some of the best names in music - both new and legendary. We'll be announcing those names over the coming days, but for for now we can tell you this: one of them is Joan Jett.
