More about:

Ed Sheeran has today announced his new album = (equals), arriving 29 October. Following on from lead single ‘Bad Habits’, which has spent seven weeks at Number 1, he has also shared a new single called ‘Visiting Hours’ and a live performance video.

‘Visiting Hours’ is almost a return to classic Sheeran, veering away from the more dance-pop oriented sound of his most recent albums. This track is stripped back to guitar, piano and vocal harmonies, so any fans of his early work will certainly be impressed. Here’s what he’s said about the album so far:

“= (Equals) is a really personal record and one that means a lot to me. My life changed greatly over the past few years – I got married, became a father, experienced loss, and I reflect on these topics over the course of the album. I see it as my coming-of-age record, and I can’t wait to share this next chapter with you.”
