More about: Bandicoot
Wales’ most exhilarating new live band Bandicoot have today released their new single ‘Life, Death and Other Things’ as they make their way towards their debut album. They’ve put in a lot of time establishing themselves as unmissable performers and the new song shows that they have no intention of slowing down.
A little bit Bowie, a little bit The Smiths, ‘Life, Death and Other Things' chronicles the frustrations of songwriting, as you try and put all of your feelings and observations into a few minutes of music. But it doesn’t seem like Bandicoot are having any problems in that area, with the song's creative instrumentation and bold lyrics. Here’s what vocalist Rhys Underdown said about the song:
“Life, Death and Other Things is a song about songwriting. It captures the frustrations that come with compressing the whole world and all living experience into three minutes and a few words. It describes the surreality of waking up in unrecognisable nightmarish places, and the impossibility of really saying what you mean. It tries to bridge the overwhelming feeling of distance separating yourself from the world around you, an attempt to understand life, death, and everything in between”.
‘Life, Death and Other Things’ is out now on Libertino Records.
