More about:

More boinging, eerie guitar riffs today from Yard Act, who have shared another teaser from their New Year release The Overload. 'Land of the Blind' is the second single to be taken from the debut album.

Yes, you get some lovely James Smith lyricism here. In this one, he's dead-panning his way through a song about illusion. The matching video shows the frontman with a goatee and a sequin jacket cheating a load of Lancashire locals out of their money during a rather hilariously phony magic show.

In one of his many wise moments, James said of the track: "'Land Of The Blind’ is a song about the art of illusion, and how self-confidence can really inspire conviction in a trick. Confidence is such a powerful tool and we are so often willing to believe what we are told by the most confident people in the room because the alternative of doubting them is to exhaust ourselves laboring the point by trying to talk louder than them."

The Overload Tracklist:

1. The Overload
2. Dead Horse
3. Payday
4. Rich
5. The Incident
6. Witness
7. Land Of The Blind
8. Quarantine The Sticks

See 'em live, by the way.
