More about: Collard
Our favourite falsetto neo-soul star Collard has shared a new single, the slinky 'Get Evil'. Produced, as ever, by collaborator and guirarist Zach Nahome, it's Collard's first new song since April's 'Deliver Me'.
More understated than his usually opulent tracks, 'Get Evil' revolves around a sneaking bassline that seems to track a suave but nefarious figure as they walk down a city street.
For the Twentieth Anniversart Issue of Gigwise Magazine, Collard spoke on the single: "It’s really bassy, creepy, feels like Harlem, something like that. That’s how I imagine it anyway. It’s just a cool cool cool song."
"I would like to tumble into an album. I can feel it already. I made this song called ‘Get Evil’ and hearing that I was like ‘oh, I know what I should probably do now," he added at the time.
Issue Two of the Gigwise Print magazine is on sale now! Buy it here.
