More about: Panic Shack
When you're going on a date with Panic Shack, don't, for the love of God, put the milk in first when you make them a tea. And if you shush them in the cinema? Forget about it. They're two icks the band reveal on their new single 'The Ick'.
The Cardiff band rip into a bloke they quite liked until he put the nail in the coffin by performing something so irrecovably bad that they gave them the ick. The song is funny, it's relatable and it's great.
Hear it:
Regarding 'The Ick' as a phenomenon, the band said: "'The Ick' is about that feeling you get when you’re dating someone and they do something that really turns you off. No matter how insignificant or trivial - the feeling is irreversible and it’s really not their fault."
Adding some context to the specific icks therein, they said: "Someone really did shush Sarah in the cinema - if you can believe that!! (We can.)"
The single is taken from a debut EP titled Baby Shack, which is out 8 April. Panic Shack support fellow Cardiffers Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard at Scala on Thursday (10 March).
