You heard it here first: it’s bad bitch o’clock, it’s thick thirty. With these words, Lizzo has made her grand and eagerly awaited return with new single ‘About Damn Time’, and the announcement that her new album Special is arriving 15 July. What a day.

As usual, if you need a boost of confidence or a little bit of empowerment on your Friday night, Lizzo is here to lend a hand. It feels like a lifetime since she took over the world with Cuz I Love You, and a new album from the Queen of Positivity is exactly what we need. It’s been a busy couple of years, in which we saw Lizzo get into acting, hosting and fashion, but ‘About Damn Time’ reminds us just how much we missed her music.

Special is set for release 15 July on Nice Life Recording Company / Atlantic Records.
