The psyche darlings are back as Pond share a new track ahead of their tour next month. ‘Hang A Cross on Me’ is here and is immediately set to be a big one for their live shows.

Taken from the 9 Deluxe Edition album coming on 20 May, ‘Hang A Cross On Me’ continues the band’s journey, moving from crazy psychedelic noise to more accessible and lyric-forward tunes. Touching on disco and more pure-dance influences, there’s sounds of 00s indie creeping in as well.

The tune also welcomes back Cowboy John – a regular feature on older tracks. Adding some improvised lyrics to the outro, frontman Nick Allbrook said : “He meditates on love, life, the universe and everything with his signature fantastical surrealism and cosmic wonder. It's always a pleasure working with him. He is incredibly rare and brilliant and we love him”
