Katy J Pearson has shared 'Float' from her forthcoming sophomore album Sound of the Morning. Our issue 4 cover star appeared on Later...with Jools Holland last week and will support Pavement on tour in Europe later this year.

KJP appears at Glastonbury next week too. You'll be able to hear the soulful 'Float' — and many more of Katy's gorgeous songs — then.

On 'Float', Katy said: "I wrote this track with Oliver Wilde, a founding member of the excellent Pet Shimmers...For the new album, I wanted to collaborate with some of my peers that I admire, so I jammed with Oli for a few weeks – he’d come round with his laptop and interface and we’d write songs together."
