More about:

Indie greats Goo Goo Dolls have just announced their thirteenth studio album, Chaos In Bloom, landing 12 August on Warner Records. They’ve also shared the album’s opening track ‘Yeah, I Like You’. Chaos In Bloom will be the first Goo Goo Dolls album to be produced by frontman John Rzeznik.

Opening with acoustic guitars that drive the whole song, ‘Yeah, I Like You’ comes to life with Rzeznik’s bright vocals, echoing a search for optimism that they say inspired the new album. The accompanying music video takes a look at celebrity and social media culture, eventually devolving into a red-carpet brawl.

Approaching 40 years since they first formed, this song takes a look at a very different kind of fame:

“In a world that is just drowning in social media and internet stars, many of whom are certainly talented, but many confirm that in 2022 you can be famous for doing nothing. Celebrity in this age has a very quick burn. It was hard not to be consumed by it during the pandemic.”

Chaos In Bloom tracklist:

  1. Yeah, I Like You
  2. War
  3. Save Me From Myself
  4. Let The Sun
  5. Loving Life
  6. Going Crazy
  7. Day After Day
  8. Past Mistakes
  9. You Are The Answer
  10. Superstar
