United States rock band Goo Goo Dolls are to hit a handful of UK stages this coming week.
From October the 8th to the 14th the band will travel between Norwich and London.
The band were originally formed in 1986 in New York and to date have notched up over 12 million sales across the world, numerous hit singles and released 11 studio albums.
Most recent album ‘Boxes’ will form a major part of this tour and feature the new single ‘Over and Over’, which is being launched on October 28th 2016.
As a multi-platinum and Grammy-nominated band they have not much to prove, but they continue to not only push on to new musical themes, yet remain close to their roots.
Meaning fans old and new can appreciate the way they are approaching their work and trying to tackle other genres outside of their own at the same time.
The evolving musically has seen the band able to remain at the top of their game and a vital part of rock culture.
Vocalist and guitarist John Rzeznik has been noted as saying that their new single “Over and Over has been one of the highlights of the North American shows, it has so much hope in it.”
The band may be best known for their hits such as Iris (which topped the Billboard Chart for 17 weeks), but also such ‘Name’ and ‘Slide’.
Rzeznik has even been honoured with an award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Surely a band to see if you can this month.
