This comes after winning the best album award at the MOBO’s just two weeks ago for her highly acclaimed 2021 release ‘Sometimes I Might BeIntrovert’. Following the win up with a cryptic social media post announcing a new release with no date attached, the focus was all on feeling with a statement staying: “Emotion is energy in motion. honour your truth and feelings. eradicate fear. boundaries are important.” 

The album produced by recent MOBO award winner Inflo flows gently, as cinematic soulful melodies and shuffling drum grooves provide a bed to hersincere and thoughtful lyricism. A perfect chaser for a year of deserved successes for Simz, she might have just thrown some albums of the year lists into disarray with this late contender.
