Jazz festivals especially usually come out on top, taking the label at its broadest to include all the sounds and subsections of the genre. North Sea Jazz Festival is one that should be on your radar, boasting one of the best lineups of the summer.

Announcing their second wave of artists, the lineup now includes Janelle Monaeo, Stormzy, Lizzo, Little Simz, Tom Jones, Van Morrison, Yussef Dayes, Sampha The Great and more. Pioneering the best in jazz, pop, soup, hip hop and beyond - it goes way beyond the image of a jazz quartet in a basement. With the lineup also including some of our favourite  like Laufey, Olivia Dean, Kokoroko, Ezra Collective and Loyle Carner - it's not one to miss.

As the world's biggest indoor music festival, it all goes down in Rotterdam in the Netherlands from the 7th-9th July.
