More about:

The saxophone is an instrument that’s history goes back a long time but that still has a massive place in so many different remits of modern music as well. One person who has had a lustrous career playing the sax is Tom Waters and to celebrate, he is putting together an exciting night of brass in London on 5th May.

The show is called ’15 Years of Saxophone’ and it will be a celebration of Tom Waters playing the sax in both concert and EP work for such a massive part of his life. Throughout that time, he has graced the stage with the likes of Ray Davies, Free Nationals and The Rolling Stones. He has also made lots of friends in the industry, some of whom will be taking to the stage with him on the night.

“This project,” he said about the evening, “has captured all the bands and years of music I’ve played from rhythm and blues to rock ‘n’ roll.” As such a highly accomplished musician with such a varied background, this evening promises to be one to remember, filled with exciting bursts of jazz, rock and rnb.

The live experience promises to deliver throughout as playing in front of people has been instilled in Tom ever since he picked the sax up. From the age of 8, he and his Dad spent years touring around the world. Some of the highlights of this period included but are not limited to heading up the Glee Club in Japan and then touring for several years around Australia and New Zealand as a father and son duo.

It won’t just be Tom taking to the stage either, as playing alongside him will be the likes of Hamish Stuart, Joseph Lawrence, Josephine De La Baume and Louise Clare Marshall as well as other special guests. There is no doubt that if you are a fan of live music, particularly the Saxophone, this is a night that you do not want to miss.
