Liam Gallagher has told Arctic Monkeys to stop being embarrassed about their fame and to enjoy their time in the limelight.
The Oasis frontman has also compared Arctic Monkeys’ rise to the top of the charts with his own band’s success in the 1990’s.
He told Mojo magazine: "Everything just felt right. Everything that we'd worked for, nothing felt weird - it felt deserved, and I didn't feel uncomfortable with any of it. I fucking loved it. And I think you were able to tell I fucking loved it."
Speaking about the Arctic Monkeys and the new breed of artists he continued: “I look at bands now, Arctic Monkeys, and they're uncomfortable, and I think, "Where's your head at, man?' I love 'em, but it's just like, 'en-fucking-joy it.' They're embarrassed by fame? Yeah, it's embarrassing being fam... well, it's not embarrassing being in a rock'n'roll band."
Gallagher added: "If you're embarrassed about your dream then God fucking help you. I'd be more embarrassed to call myself a poet. Fucking right!"
As previously reported, Oasis will release their first ever digital only single, ‘Lord Don’t Slow Me Down,’ on October 21st.
