Catweasels - 'Elderly Instruments'

Catweasels - 'Elderly Instruments'
starstarno starno starno star

Housed in the alley between Sunderland and Newcastle live the Catweasels (apparently named after Singer/Bass player/Ginger Sam Megahy’s bumfluff covered chin) who are set to release their second single, having spent the year touring with the likes of The Sunshine Underground and The Young Knives. In a similar vain to local heroes Maximo Park and (down the other way) The Futureheads, Catweasels are happy in celebrating pop majesty. ‘Elderly Instruments’ is two and a half minutes celebrating one of those “Wonderful Days” (you remember them right?), the problem is in an era where the quirky is riding highest – Catweasels aren’t really that different from those down the A1.

Released 22/10/07 on Longest Mile.

  • if theres anything you can’t say about this band, it’s that they aren’t different. it is everything they are about. very lazy journalism.
