UNKLE Give Fans The Chance To Make Their Next Video
UNKLE are giving a lucky punter the chance to direct the video for their new single.
The generous dance bods, led by Mowax head honcho James Lavelle, will let loose an.phpiring film maker on the video for their forthcoming single 'Restless' – and they don’t even care what you make. Lavelle eating his breakfast? A big car crash? Some snakes slithering around a supermarket? Whatever you fancy is fine.
If you're an.phpiring director want to try your luck, you need to submit 2 minutes of your filmed material to this website.
A panel comprising Lavelle, director Vaughan Arnell, producer Rob Bevan and film industry bigwig Laura Macdonald will decide who has made the best submission.
The winner then gets given a £5000 budget to direct the video and a bundle of Canon cameras to film the video on.
UNKLE are no stranger to high profile arty videos. The vid for their single 'Rabbit In The Headlights' – featuring Thom Yorke famously failing to observe the Green Cross Code - was much talked about.
