Find that plushly upholstered armchair by the fire, put your feet up and feel the warmth exude in floods of conductive orchestral accompaniment, wave upon wave of murmuring electronic synth effects and gently whispering, karma inducing vocals. 'Marmalade Fires,' taken from Mum's new album, 'Go Go Smear The Poison Ivy' - which was warmly received earlier in the year - encapsulates all that we have come to learn of the Icelandic troop's music thus far. With fairytale story telling qualities, the pitter patter of the bands string section lays down the basis of the track, inducing the mind to wander and tell its own story. Electronic beats, synth effects, brass, bells, a string of simple piano chords and primitive drumming all play a part in the tracks composition and prove to be a sound precursor to the tracks truly symphonic closing.
