- More Britney Spears
Britney Spears and Michael Jackson were the big winners at the NRJ awards in Cannes on Saturday (January 26th).
Despite her ongoing personal problems, Spears’ latest album ‘Blackout’ was voted Best International album by French radio listeners.
‘Blackout’, which was received warmly by critics last year, beat albums by Amy Winehouse and Rihanna to claim the award.
Meanwhile, Michael Jackson was recognised with a lifetime achievement award at the ceremony, in the year which he will mark the 25th Anniversary of ‘Thriller’.
As previously reported, Winehouse was forced to cancel her appearance at the ceremony after she went into rehab to tackle her drug problems.
