Barack Obama Beats Clinton At Grammy Awards

In the week he overtook Hillary Clinton in the race to become to the Democrat candidate for the presidency, Barack Obama also triumphed over her husband Bill.

Obama scooped the Spoken Word Grammy for the audio version of ‘The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream’, ahead of Bill Clinton’s nominated ‘Giving: How Each of Us Can Change the World.’

Ex Democratic Candidate Jimmy Carter was also up for this year’s spoken word gong with ‘Sunday Morning in Plains: Bringing Peace to a Changing World.’

The award is Obama’s second Grammy following his win two years ago for ‘Dreams From My Father’ in the same category. Clinton has also won the award twice in the past.

Due to his tireless campaigning around the States, Obama was not present at the Los Angeles ceremony, instead he was at a Virginia rally.

As reported earlier today, Amy Winehouse was officially the queen of this year’s Grammy Awards winning a massive five gongs. Kanye West went home with four.
