Oozing class and sophistication, Friends Of The Bride, fronted by the charismatic Bobby Grindod, have done more than convince us of their serious intentions with a single that’ll send all into a vibrant sing-a-long. ‘You Can’t Take Him Anywhere’ has all the hit credentials, a “na na na na na” chorus placed in the middle of a typically structured song with finely tuned production, but it does more than get your feet tapping. A vivid image arises, this fascination of FOTB being flawlessly stylish, walking the streets with outstanding confidence. They’re probably just a few friendly blokes with talent, but the alter-ego makes this effort all the more interesting.
