Paramore's Hayley Williams Insists Band Aren't Breaking Up

Paramore frontman Hayley Williams has denied reports that the band are on the verge of breaking up.

The future of the band came under the spotlight last month after they cancelled their European Riot! tour citing personal reasons.

Williams then told fans in an open letter on her website that the band had returned home to tackle "internal issues".

Speaking to MTV at the SXSW festival in Texas, Williams admitted that the original letter to fans had been written in the wrong mind-set.

“We wrote that blog in the airport, getting ready to come home, and we were all down.

“And I think, just like anyone's personal blog, you can sense the emotion in [our] words," she explained. "The first blog we posted was definitely a downer.”

Williams added that the band would “kind of start over again" when they return to touring later this month.
