Emotronic, self-depreciating carp along the lines of The Postal Service. Imagine waking up inside your first games console – it’s subjective, but there are better places to be. Luis Dubuc, aka The Secret Handshake, clearly thinks he’s got it sussed though – unfortunately for him, ‘Gamegirl’ is mechanised, sparkless, repetitive without humour, over-vocodered and extraordinarily dated. Is this all? Not quite – the whole thing’s pretty sappy to boot. Spare yourself the time, money and oxygen and go and buy yourself a Ladytron LP.
