Like a drug free happy pill, Lack Of Afro’s tantalising mix of funk, soul and sixties psychedelia is guaranteed to make you smile.
Since he posted a few tracks on a friend’s website in 2006, producer Adam Gibbons got signed by Freestyle Records, released his debut album ‘Press On’ as Lack of Afro and remixed tracks for the likes of Nicole Willis and The New Mastersounds.
New single ‘Touch My Soul’ features Steve Marriott’s haunting vocals from The Small Faces album track ‘Afterglow (Of Your Love)’, funked up to the nines! The CD single also features ‘The Outsider’ with a super cool bass line, sixties vocals and sexy horn solos. For those of you who are bored of listening to Mark Ronson every time you turn on the radio treat your ears to the music of David Holmes and DJ Shadow’s evil love child.
Released 24/03/08 on Freestyle.
