Mark Ronson Pays Tribute To Corinne Bailey Rae's Husband

Mark Ronson has paid tribute to Jason Rae, the husband of soul singer Corinne Bailey Rae, who died from a suspected overdose last weekend.

In a message on his website, Ronson described Rae as “an incredible dude, a lovely gentle man, one of the funniest fucking people ever.”

A saxophonist in the band the Haggis Horns, Rae had performed alongside a host of artists, including Ronson and Amy Winehouse.

His body was found in a flat in Leeds on Saturday. A 32-year old man has been released on police bail in connection with the incident.

Speaking about Rae’s love of 90s Hip-Hop, Ronson said “he loved music more passionately and genuinely than anyone.”

“[He was] one of the most amazing sax players I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing with (if you’ve ever been to one of our gigs, you’ve witnessed it for yourself),” Ronson added.

Although she has yet to release a statement, Bailey Rae is said to be devastated by her husband's death.
