A woman from Saudi Arabia was attacked and shot dead by her father after he discovered her talking to a man on Facebook.
The woman, who hasn’t been named, was killed last August but details about the incident have only recently emerged.
The social networking site has come under scrutiny in the Islamic country over recent months – with many critics claiming it has a corrupting influence on young people.

Amongst the country’s strict traditions, is the rule that requires women to wear veils to prevent their bodies from becoming a distraction to men.
Speaking to the Telegraph, the Saudi preacher Ali al-Maliki, a strong Facebook critic, said the website was “a door to lust and young women and men are spending more on their mobile phones and the Internet than they are spending on food."
