The Pigeon Detectives have been forced to cancel two shows in Ireland this week after frontman Matt Bowman suffered a serious leg injury in Kent yesterday (May 11th).
Bowman was rushed to hospital following the band’s set at One Big Weekend and it was initially feared that he would have to undergo emergency surgery.
However, Bowman was instead transferred to Leeds, where he is currently receiving treatment.
The band are expected to reschedule their Irish shows, which were scheduled to take place in Dublin (May 13th) and Belfast (May 14th).
According to a doctor at the hospital in Chelsea that treated Bowman, the singer would face at least six weeks on the sidelines if he was a footballer.
The Pigeon Detectives are expected to be back on the road in Glasgow on May 17th.
