Singer Janet Jackson has announced details of a new arena tour which will begin in Canada on September 7th.
The singer’s ‘Rock Witchu’ tour will be her first complete outing in seven years.
Jackson unveiled the plans yesterday during an appearance on a US talk show hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, saying: “I can’t wait.”
Full details about the tour, which will include shows in New York and Washington DC, are expected over the coming weeks.
Despite rarely touring, Jackson ranks as one of the most financially successful female touring acts of all time in the US, earning a reported $93 between 1993 and 2002.
The singer has enjoyed a renaissance in 2008, with new album ‘Discipline’ topping the US Billboard chart.
