Beenie Man has been cleared of tax evasion charges by a judge in Jamaica.
Authorities had said the Grammy award winning reggae singer owed $1million in overdue taxes.
But in court yesterday the judge said evidence showed that Beenie Man had not been informed of his rights during a tax assessment last year.
Beenie Man, from Kingston, has grown into one of the biggest names in Dancehall. He was awarded a Grammy in 2001 for his album 'Art and Life'.
