It's official: Barack Obama is 44th President of the United States, the first African-American to take the White House and the most powerful man in the world! Result!
While the hysteria is high and the celebrations are still in full flow, I thought I'd spare a quick thought for his Republican rival John McCain who was resoundingly and rightfully trounced by Obama at the polls.
The pensioner will no doubt be counting his loses and wondering what to do with his days while Obama is seeking to bring real change to a much-blighted, recession hit country.
Our other blog is asking for songs to sound-track Barack Obama's stunning victory, while here it's I'm looking for songs to celebrate John McCain's seismic defeat.
