X Factor's Alexandra Burke 'Wooed By Gavin And Stacey's James Corden'

Gavin and Stacey star James Corden has bought X Factor winner Alexandra Burke a £4,000 watch in an attempt to woo her, it has been reported.

The comedy actor is said to have tried to contact Burke through her mother, former Soul II Soul singer Melissa Bell.

“He is absolutely besotted. It’s a bit full on but Alexandra seems to be taking it in her stride. I wish he’d give me a Cartier watch too,” Bell told The Sun newspaper.

A source added: “Although they are texting each other, I can’t see her falling for his charms. He’s not really her type.”

Corden has a history of being linked to pop stars, with Lily Allen and former X Factor winner Leona Lewis both reportedly once subject to his charm.

As previously reported on Gigwise, Burke was crowned the winner of The X Factor on Saturday.

The London-born singer beat boy band JLS to claim the first prize of a lucrative recording contract.

She is widely expected to top the UK charts this weekend with her debut single, 'Hallelujah'.
