Kylie Minogue To Host BRIT Awards With Gavin And Stacey Stars

Kylie Minogue is to host this year's BRIT Awards alongside Gavin and Stacey actors James Corden and Mathew Horne.

Performances at the event in London on February 18th will come from Kings of Leon, Girls Aloud and Duffy.

As previously reported on Gigwise, U2 will perform their new single, 'Get On Your Boots', at the event, while Outstanding Contribution winners The Pet Shop Boys will also perform live.

Ged Doherty, Chairman of The Brits Committee, said: “With performances from U2 and Pet Shop Boys already confirmed, the addition of Girls Aloud, Duffy and Kings Of Leon to the bill means we are heading towards a truly special Brits this year.

"Added to Kylie, Mathew and James hosting, it's going to be a must-see event. With the nominations launch taking place tomorrow night, the countdown to the 2009 Brits is now truly under way."

The nominations for this years awards will be announced at a ceremony in London tomorrow (January 20th).

Categories include Best British Album, Group and Breakthrough Act, as well as a host of international awards.

Florence & The Machine has already been chosen as this year's BRIT Awards' Critics' Choice.
