More Metallica
Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich has confirmed that he granted permission for a clip of himself to be used in Guns N' Roses new music video.
Ulrich was blamed last month for delaying the release of the video for 'Better' - the second single to be taken from Guns N' Roses 'Chinese Democracy'.
However, in an interview with Rolling Stone, the drummer denied holding up production and said he had allowed one clip to be used in the video.
“When it got to me, I signed off on the one clip… I don’t know where [the rumor] came from,” he said.
“I’d love to be in a Guns n’ Roses video. It’s my favourite song on the record — I think it’s a great song.”
He added: “I can’t wait for the video to come out. There’s a shot of me and Axl embracing backstage at some concert, and I signed off that, and hopefully it’ll make it in the final cut.
Although Ulrich has permitted his inclusion, the video for 'Better' has still yet to emerge. It had been set for release over Christmas.
Guns N’ Roses and Metallica staged an infamous stadium tour together in 1992.
