Singer Marianne Faithfull's life story is to be turned into a movie, she has announced.
Faithfull, a former girlfriend of Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger, said the picture would be adapted from her 1994 autobiography.
"It won't happen right away but we have found a director who I trust who wants to make a film of the book," she told the BBC.
Faithfull rose to fame in the 1960s and soon developed a reputation for being a party animal.
As well as Jagger, she was also linked to a relationship with Bob Dylan.
Faithfull acknowledged that her life had been “a great story”, but added that she would have no choice in who played her in the as-yet-untitled film.
"I'm not getting involved. I'll read the script, when it's ready, which isn't for a long time, and then I'll leave it to the director and the actress he chooses,” she said.
"I don't want to have much to do with it. I want to read the script and like the script and then I'm going to let go of it and let them do what they want. That's the way to do it."
Faithfull is currently preparing to release her 22nd studio album. She will play a one off show at London's Royal Festival Hall on July 20th.
