Nirvana Back Catalogue To Get Vinyl Re-Release

Later this year...

Nirvana's back catalogue is to be re-released on re-mastered vinyl for the first time.

The re-releases include the band's seminal album 'Nevermind', 'In Utero' and their 'Unplugged' show for MTV.

Original Recordings Group (ORG), the manufacturer responsible for the reissues, said it was the first time some of the material had been released on vinyl.

"To our knowledge this is the first time 'Unplugged" has ever come out on vinyl,” founder Monti Olson said.

"They might have done a limited promotional thing but I doubt it."

Meanwhile, Nirvana's debut album 'Bleach' is to be re-issued on vinyl by the band's original record label Sub Pop.

  • ORG have done f**k all research: "Unplugged" had a normal vinyl release at the time on white vinyl. Just check ebay. Nevermind had a simply vinyl re-issue

  • All their albums are currently in print, and have been for AT LEAST 5 years. Infact I know of 3 different pressings of Nevermind, and 2 different pressings each of In Utero, and Unplugged. Morons. Do your research (ORG). Its all still available, and they all sound great.
