Michael Jackson has invited the stars of the Harry Potter films to the opening night of his comeback gigs in London, it's been reported.

Daniel Radcliffe, who plays the boy wizard, and co-stars Rupert Grint and Emma Watson will all receive VIP treatment at the show on July 8th, according to The Sun newspaper.

Jackson is said to be “a huge fan” of JK Rowling's Harry Potter series and the owner of a first edition copy of Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone, the author's debut novel.

“He was utterly enchanted by the magic of JK Rowling’s novels," a source told the newspaper.

"The tales of Harry and his pals in the books gripped him, he has followed them all religiously.

“He is a big admirer of the films too, he owns all the movies and he has bought memorabilia for his collection.

“He has also shown an interest in going to the premiere for the final instalment of the Potter films.”

Jackson is scheduled to play 50-nights at London's O2 Arena. All of the gigs, which run into 2010, are already sold out.

Jackson, now 50, has not performed a full concert since he was cleared of child molestation charges in 2005. His last full tour, entitled HIStory, took place in 1996 and '97.
