The MOBO awards will this year be held outside London for the first time ever after it was announced that the awards ceremony is to take play in Glasgow.
The annual prize giving for music of black origin will be held at Glasgow SECC on September 30, singer Lemar announced today.
He said of the move: "Bringing the MOBO awards here to Glasgow, a city with such a strong and vibrant music scene, is the perfect fit.
“I love touring in the UK and the welcome I receive when I come to Scotland is incredible."
Fans can expect ticket details to be announced shortly while nominations for the awards are yet to be revealed.
