- More Oasis
Noel Gallagher has announced that there will be no new Oasis album for five years while he instead concentrates on his solo material.
As previously reported on Gigwise, Gallagher is cuurently working on material for his own album and also expects other members of Oasis to release their own solo albums.
Speaking about the future of the band, the guitarist said they would all “be five years older” by the time they release another album together.
He told Q magazine: "The last three albums have been three years in between, but I see it as likely to be longer this time. We've arrived at the point I wanted to be at from when Gem [Archer] and Andy [Bell] joined the band.
“And the last time we did that was at the end of Be Here Now, and we rushed the next album [Standing On the Shoulder of Giants]. There was no inspiration on it.
"By the time we make another record we'll be five years older. It [will] be really interesting for fans of the band to see how each individual makes up the whole."
- Thank god for that, my ears will be safe for the next half a decade!
- I'm sure that won't stop the NME from broadcasting their every utterance though!
- Hurray!
- Does anyone really give a f**k about such a talentless bunch of egotistic a**holes who only ever churn out inferior psuedo-Beatles nonsense whenever they can be bothered to do anything???
