- More Michael Jackson
The full results of Michael Jackson's autopsy have been delayed by two weeks, the Los Angeles County coroner's office has said.
The coroner had been expected to publish the results of toxicology tests this week, but the announcement has now been put back.
Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter declined to comment on the reason for the delay, according to the Associated Press news agency.
A postmortem was conducted on Jackson's body on June 26 – a day after the star's death.
The coroner found no foul play or evidence of external trauma, but deferred cause of death pending the toxicology results.
The test results, which can take up to six weeks, are expected to cast a light on reports Jackson had taken prescription drugs shortly before his death.
The singer's alleged drug use has become the focus of the police's investigation over recent weeks.
Last week, Chief William Bratton, who is leading the investigation, said detectives had yet to rule out homicide as a possible cause of death.
