- More Peter Doherty
Pete Doherty will appear before a jury to face charges of dangerous driving and drink-driving.
Doherty was arrested on June 11 in Gloucester, after playing a gig in the city, after his car was seen being driven erratically.
Things could get even more serious for the ex-Libertine as he could potentially face a jail sentence after heroin was found at his home and in his car following the arrest.
Doherty entered a plea of not guilty to dangerous driving charges but is yet to announce his plea for the drink driving offence.
The 30 year-old was told that on October 2 he will have to appear in front of Gloucester Crown Court to answer the drink-driving charge. The trial for dangerous driving will take place at a later date.
Is was reported on Gigwise earlier today that Doherty was due to appear at the hearing in court this morning to answer the above charges as well as ones relating to driving without insurance and a license.
Another unrelated driving offence was admitted by Doherty; he refused to tell the police who was driving a Jaguar when the offence occurred, for which he was given six points on his license and fined £500.
