Michael Jackson's former lawyer has said he expects the mystery surrounding the singer's death to be solved in the coming weeks.
A toxicology report to uncover how Jackson died has been completed, but results are being kept secret during the ongoing police investigation.
In an interview with Sky News, Peter Lopez said: "We should hear within the next week. I believe the LAPD are doing a very thorough investigation.
"It's been seven weeks since Michael died, it was announced the reports would be out in five to six weeks, so we are a couple of weeks beyond that which is an indication of the professionalism of the LAPD, making sure they get it right."
The manslaughter investigation into Jackson's death on June 25 is centred on his alleged addiction to painkilling medication.
Police are also probing the singer's doctor, Conrad Murray, about his relationship with Jackson, although he has not been identified as a suspect.
Mr Lopez also said during his interview that it was “pretty clear” that Jackson “should not be dead”.
"Something went terribly wrong and we'll find something out about that very shortly,” he added.
Meahwhile, Gigwise has been given an exclusive look at a forthcoming auction of Michael Jackson memorabilia in New York.
