Producer and musician Jim Dickinson has died aged 67.
Dickinson's career spanned four decades and saw him work with The Rolling Stones, Aretha Franklin and Mudhoney as well as collaborating with Ry Cooder and Bob Dylan.
He passed away from heart and intestinal problems on Saturday August 15.
Dickinson is often cited as a major influence on the Memphis sound of the 60's and 70's. He recorded The Rolling Stones song 'Wild Horses' and featured on Bob Dylan's Grammy Award winning 'Time Out Of Mind'. His two sons, Luther and Cody Dickinson, formed two thirds of North Mississippi Allstars.
He is survived by his wife Mary who said that Dickinson had been suffering from heart and intestinal bleeding problems for three months.
